Let's find out more about the musicians
Flamingo Strings is a quartet made up of four of Perth's best string musicians.
Rachael Aquilina and Teresa Vinci on Violins
Alix Hamilton on Viola
Anna Sarcich on Cello
They all work extensively for such organisations such as West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Perth Symphony Orchestra, WA Philharmonic as well as many smaller chamber groups. Several members have many years experience in music performance education whilst participating in the group Fiddlesticks.
All members have many years experience teaching their instruments in schools and in private studios.
Their love of musical education and chamber music performance has lead to them forming Flamingo Strings in 2019, founded and managed by the cellist Anna Sarcich.
The performances they offer for primary schools and children's organisations promise to be full of energy, vitality and a passionate love of classical music.
What do people say about us?
"Flamingo strings were a breath of fresh air, our kids smiling and listening throughout the show. Their vibrant musical selections sparked witty explanations of an array of musical concepts, and simply seeing the performers up close left a lasting impression. We'll book them again."-Lachlan Skipworth and Akiko Miyazawa from Cygnus Arioso.
"What a lovely concert this morning. I think the kids (and parents) loved it......congratulations on today's concert. The girls did a great job, pitched very perfectly at the age group present"
